The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs outdone by Rohan and the Bristol Blues, 6-3

Gerrad Rohan collected four hits, sparking the Bristol Blues (9-8) to a 6-3 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (6-10) on Wednesday at Doyle Field.

He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the first, third, and ninth innings.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs had no answer for Ty Robinson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Robinson held the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

A bright spot for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs in the defeat was TJ Santiago, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Jon Kristoffersen had a hot bat for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Kristoffersen went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Michael Nocera improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bristol Blues. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Nocera struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.

David Griffin ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
