The Bristol Blues (7-5) beat the Seacoast Mavericks (5-7) 3-1 on Wednesday at Leary Field behind Liam Scafariello, who went 1-4 and hit a home run.
He homered in the seventh inning.Kyle Dube struck out nine, paving the way for a the Bristol Blues win. Dube allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks over seven innings.
Louis Mele was hot from the plate for the Seacoast Mavericks. Mele went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the ninth inning.
Tom Hudon pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out three.
Hudon (2-1) took the loss for the Seacoast Mavericks.
