Tim Koons kept the Traverse City Beach Bums (53-38) off the board during his six innings of work and the River City Rascals (53-40) beat the Traverse City Beach Bums, 13-1.

Koons struck out three and allowed no walks and four hits.

The River City Rascals continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The River City Rascals scored three runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. The River City Rascals scored five runs in the sixth on the River City Rascals scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Curran Redal, an RBI single by Redal, an RBI single by Johnny Morales, and a three-run home run by Zach Kometani.

Taylor Ard put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the River City Rascals. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Ian MacDougall (10-6) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed 10 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
