The Southern Illinois Miners (58-29) built an early edge on Thursday, but the Lake Erie Crushers (36-50) roared back to steal a 3-2 victory at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.

While the Southern Illinois Miners led until the tenth inning, the Lake Erie Crushers worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Mark Fowler.

Juan Sanchez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Matt Brankle improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Scott Harkin (1-2) took the loss for the Southern Illinois Miners. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed one run.
