Ross Spurgeon improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Kevin Johnson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
