Elijah Trail went 1-3 and hit a home run as the Rockford Aviators (45-41) took home a 3-2 victory over the Florence Freedom (43-43) in eight innings at UC Health Stadium on Wednesday.

Tony Rizzotti's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Rockford Aviators past the Florence Freedom. Rizzotti allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks over six innings.

Sam Eberle had two extra-base hits for the Florence Freedom. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Patrick McGrath was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
