The bats were busy at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium on Thursday, and when the dust cleared the Windy City ThunderBolts (31-43) had a 10-8 win over the Schaumburg Boomers (31-44).

The teams totaled 24 hits in the game.

Coco Johnson had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the third inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Ty Nelson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He singled in the second inning.

Zak Wasserman recorded his fourth win for the Windy City ThunderBolts even though he allowed eight runs over six innings. Wasserman struck out two, walked eight and gave up seven hits.

Peter Gehle was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out one.
