A walk-off single from Blake Brown brought home the winning run for the Gateway Grizzlies (26-43) in a 3-2 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (40-27) at GCS Ballpark on Friday.

Brown had a hot bat for the Gateway Grizzlies. Brown went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and ninth innings.

Jordan Spencer baffled the Traverse City Beach Bums, striking out six batters. The Gateway Grizzlies' pitcher gave up just five hits over five shutout innings.

Kyle Bouman got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Casey Rodriguez couldn't get it done on the mound for the Traverse City Beach Bums, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
