Wednesday was a great day for Scott Carcaise, as he hit two home runs to carry the Frontier Greys (31-34) to a 5-1 victory over the Evansville Otters (44-23) at Bosse Field in seven innings.
Bobby Shore struck out seven hitters en route to the the Frontier Greys win. Shore allowed no earned runs on six hits and one walk over five innings.
Josh Allen was solid at the plate for the Evansville Otters. Allen went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.
Brett Marshall couldn't get it done on the mound for the Evansville Otters, taking a loss. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
The Frontier Greys were sparked by Carcaise and Brandon Tierney, who teamed up for six hits and four RBIs.
