Despite the loss, the River City Rascals' Tim Koons dominated the Washington Wild Things' batters, giving up one run and striking out eight.
Taylor Ard paced the River City Rascals at the plate. Ard went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Steve Messner recorded his second win of the year for the Washington Wild Things. Messner struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
Stephen Frey (0-1) took the loss for the River City Rascals. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
