Taylor Ard went 2-3, sparking the River City Rascals (33-26) to a 7-4 victory over the Frontier Greys (26-31) on Friday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

The Frontier Greys couldn't get anything going as long as Will Schierholz was pitching. Schierholz held the Frontier Greys hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Dillon Haupt had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Kyle Bogese pitched lights out for the Frontier Greys. Bogese held the River City Rascals hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Joe Scanio improved to 7-4 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed four runs over six innings. Scanio struck out four, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Bobby Shore (4-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
