Cody Gray held the Rockford Aviators (32-24) scoreless for five innings to boost the Florence Freedom (27-30) to a 2-0 victory.

Gray allowed four hits, one walk and struck out eight.

Payton Baskette was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Florence Freedom batters and allowing two runs.

Baskette couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Rockford Aviators, taking a loss.
