The Frontier Greys cruise past the Windy City ThunderBolts, 11-3

The Windy City ThunderBolts (20-35) didn't stand a chance on Wednesday, as the Frontier Greys (26-28) captured a blowout 11-3 win at Standard Bank Stadium.

The Frontier Greys scored four runs in the sixth on the Frontier Greys scored in the sixth on an RBI double by Scott Carcaise, a two-run triple by Dillon Haupt, and a sacrifice fly by Jhiomar Veras.

Haupt racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Frontier Greys.

Steven Wehr pitched lights out for the Frontier Greys. Wehr held the Windy City ThunderBolts hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Austin Gallagher racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He homered in the first inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Justin DAlessandro improved to 4-5 on the year by picking up the win for the Frontier Greys. He allowed three runs over six innings. DAlessandro struck out five, walked two and gave up six hits.

Danny Jimenez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.

The Frontier Greys hammered the Windy City ThunderBolts pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, nine RBIs and eight runs scored.
