Josh Allen had two extra base hits, sparking the Evansville Otters (36-18) to a 6-4 victory over the Joliet Slammers (22-32) on Sunday at Bosse Field.

Tyler Vail recorded his sixth win of the year for the Evansville Otters. He allowed three runs over six innings. Vail struck out two, walked four and gave up five hits.

Hunter Ackerman (1-3) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Evansville Otters were sparked by Allen and Shayne Houck, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
