The Gateway Grizzlies (18-34) beat the Frontier Greys (24-26) 9-7 on Saturday at GCS Ballpark behind Garrett Vail, who went 2-2.

He singled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Scott Carcaise racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Frontier Greys. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Jordan Spencer got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Max Homick was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
