Mark Micowski had three RBIs, helping the Normal CornBelters (27-17) to a 4-3 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners (27-17) on Saturday at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.

Aaron Gates did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Southern Illinois Miners, reaching base four times. He tripled in the first inning.

Jon Klein had an impressive outing against the Normal CornBelters' lineup. Klein gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Victor Beriguete recorded his third win of the year for the Normal CornBelters. Beriguete struck out one, walked two and gave up one hit.

Miguel Ramirez (1-5) took the loss for the Southern Illinois Miners. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
