Zaragoza allows no runs to lead the Washington Wild Things past the Lake Erie Crushers 6-0

Ernesto Zaragoza kept the Lake Erie Crushers (15-23) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Washington Wild Things (17-24) beat the Lake Erie Crushers, 6-0.

Zaragoza allowed three hits, four walks and struck out four.

David Popkins hit two home runs for the Washington Wild Things. Popkins went 2-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Popkins homered in the fourth and eighth innings.

The Washington Wild Things blew out the Lake Erie Crushers thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. A two-run home run by Popkins delivered the runs in the eighth. The Washington Wild Things had two hits in the inning.

Rob Blanc couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lake Erie Crushers, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
