The Florence Freedom outlast the Rockford Aviators in extras, 7-6

The Florence Freedom (17-23) put in a full day's work in a 12-inning, 7-6 win over the Rockford Aviators (24-13) Sunday at Aviator Stadium.

With the score tied at five, Sam Eberle came to the plate and singled, scoring Andrew Godbold.

The Rockford Aviators couldn't slow down Gaby Juarbe, who paced the Florence Freedom with five hits. He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and tenth innings and doubled in the twelfth inning.

The Rockford Aviators' lineup had no answer for Seth Harvey. Harvey held the Rockford Aviators hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Elijah Trail did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Rockford Aviators, reaching base four times. He singled in the third and fourth innings.

Ed Kohout improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Florence Freedom. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Nick Grim couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Rockford Aviators, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
