The Lake Erie Crushers (14-21) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Evansville Otters (24-14) roared back to steal a 4-2 victory at All Pro Freight Stadium.
A two-run error gave the Evansville Otters the lead in the sixth inning.
Cory Urquhart was hot from the plate for the Evansville Otters. Urquhart went 2-3 and scored one run. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Tyler Vail picked up the win for the Evansville Otters. Vail allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Brad Zambron ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
