Curran Redal went 1-3, sparking the River City Rascals (19-13) to a 4-1 victory over the Joliet Slammers (12-21) on Sunday at Silver Cross Field.

Tim Koons picked up the win for the River City Rascals. Koons pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out four.

A bright spot for the Joliet Slammers in the defeat was Kevin Walter, who allowed only three runs while striking out seven.

Casey Fletcher was hot from the plate for the Joliet Slammers. Fletcher went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.

Walter (0-2) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers.
