The Evansville Otters (34-18) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-2 to the Windy City ThunderBolts (19-31) on Thursday.
A two-run single by Alex Chittenden gave the Windy City ThunderBolts the lead in the fourth inning.
Coco Johnson was hot from the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts. Johnson went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Pete Whittingslow got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. Whittingslow struck out three, walked one and gave up six hits.
Jake Raffaele (0-1) took the loss for the Evansville Otters. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
