The River City Rascals (17-11) beat the Gateway Grizzlies (8-21) 4-2 in seven innings on Wednesday at GCS Ballpark behind Curran Redal, who collected three hits.
He singled in the first, second, and fifth innings.The Gateway Grizzlies had no answer for Dane Stone, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Gateway Grizzlies managed just three hits off of the the River City Rascals' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his five innings of work.
JaVaun West was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the River City Rascals batters and allowing three runs.
West (2-4) took the loss for the Gateway Grizzlies.
