Frank Desico went 1-3, sparking the Lake Erie Crushers (10-15) to a 2-1 victory over the Florence Freedom (10-18) on Tuesday at All Pro Freight Stadium.
He singled in the second inning.Trevor Longfellow brought the heat against the Florence Freedom during his outing. Longfellow held the Florence Freedom hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Despite the loss, the Florence Freedom's Casey Henn dominated the Lake Erie Crushers' batters, giving up two runs and striking out seven.
Brad Duffy recorded his third win of the year for the Lake Erie Crushers. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Henn ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year.
