The Evansville Otters (51-33) and the Gateway Grizzlies (36-48) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Evansville Otters that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-1 win at Bosse Field.

Will Oliver improved to 9-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Evansville Otters. He allowed one run over six innings. Oliver struck out six, walked three and gave up eight hits.

Kevin Sweeney (0-2) took the loss for the Gateway Grizzlies. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
