The Traverse City Beach Bums (7-7) and the Rockford Aviators (12-3) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Traverse City Beach Bums that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-0 win at Aviator Stadium.

Jeff DeBlieux did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Traverse City Beach Bums, reaching base three times. He singled in the first inning.

Michael Shreves brought the heat against the Rockford Aviators during his outing. The Rockford Aviators managed just four hits off of the the Traverse City Beach Bums' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Nick Grim (0-1) took the loss for the Rockford Aviators. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
