Scott Carcaise went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Frontier Greys (2-7) to a 4-2 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (2-8) on Monday at GCS Ballpark.

Jordan Kraus handled the Gateway Grizzlies' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Kraus allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk over six innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Gateway Grizzlies' Ben Waldrip. Waldrip went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Max Schonfeld allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Nick Anderson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Scott Harkin (0-1) took the loss for the Gateway Grizzlies. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
