Ryan Breen went 2-2 and hit a home run, sparking the Rockford Aviators (9-0) to a 5-4 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners (5-4) on Sunday at Rent One Park, Marion, IL.

Steve Marino racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

John Tangherlini put together a nice outing. The Rockford Aviators managed just one hit off of the the Southern Illinois Miners' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Kyle Allen improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed three runs over six innings. Allen struck out one, walked three and gave up five hits.

Rick Teasley (1-1) took the loss for the Southern Illinois Miners. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
