Kyle Allen kept the Traverse City Beach Bums (2-3) off the board during his six innings of work and the Rockford Aviators (5-0) beat the Traverse City Beach Bums, 3-1.

Allen struck out five and allowed two walks and three hits.

The Rockford Aviators were led by Tanner Witt's hitting. Witt went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Kramer Champlin ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
