An impressive effort by Seth Webster spurred the Schaumburg Boomers (1-0) to a 2-0 win over the Windy City ThunderBolts (0-1) on Thursday at Standard Bank Stadium.

Webster held the Windy City ThunderBolts scoreless for seven innings. Webster struck out six and allowed one walk and three hits.

Jordan Dean racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Travis Tingle ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed one run.
