The Alaska Goldpanners (9-13) failed to take advantage of great day from Ryan Hingst on Tuesday, losing 1-0 to the Matsu Miners (19-5) in 15 innings at Hermon Brothers Field.
Hingst held the Matsu Miners scoreless for nine innings. Hingst struck out six and allowed no walks and four hits.
Brick Paskiewicz recorded his second win of the year for the Matsu Miners. Paskiewicz struck out two, walked one and gave up no hits.
John Schreiber was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
