Robinette stars as the South Bay Storm defeat the Nevada Big Horns, 18-9

An outstanding effort by Lane Robinette hoisted the South Bay Storm (6-10) to an 18-9 win over the Nevada Big Horns (6-7) on Monday at Golden Eagle Park.

Robinette racked up six RBIs on four hits for the South Bay Storm. He homered in the second and fourth innings and singled in the first and eighth innings.

Evan Ramirez hit two home runs for the Nevada Big Horns. Ramirez went 3-4 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Ramirez homered in the fourth and seventh innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 27 total runs and 35 hits during the game. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were eight pitchers used in the game.

Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the South Bay Storm to easily put away the Nevada Big Horns. An RBI single by Robinette in the first inning and , a home run by Dominic Orlando, an RBI single by Austin Muller, and a two-run home run by Robinette during the second inning fueled the South Bay Storm's offense early.

Jett Gallagher got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over six innings. Gallagher struck out three, walked four and gave up six hits.

Jake Sheley (1-2) took the loss for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked four and struck out one.
