Lichty leads the Nevada Big Horns to 8-2 win over the South Bay Storm

Tim Lichty clubbed two home runs to carry the Nevada Big Horns (6-7) to an 8-2 win over the South Bay Storm (6-10) at Golden Eagle Park.

The Nevada Big Horns blew out the South Bay Storm thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run home run by Lichty helped the Nevada Big Horns score three runs in the fifth. The Nevada Big Horns had three hits in the inning.

Brett Minnick kept contact to a minimum, striking out 11 the South Bay Storm batters. Minnick allowed two earned runs on four hits and five walks over five innings.

Josh Cohen couldn't get it done on the rubber for the South Bay Storm, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out five.

The Nevada Big Horns' Chip Bouchard, Jack Dennis, Dan Busch and Lichty combined for seven hits and six RBIs.
