Deion Tansel went 2-4, helping the Chillicothe Paints (38-22) to a 2-1 victory over the Jamestown Jammers (27-33) on Thursday at VA Memorial Stadium.
He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.Derek Moore handled the Jamestown Jammers' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Moore allowed no earned runs on four hits and one walk over five innings.
Matt Shannon allowed two earned runs, eight hits and four walks while striking out four over eight innings of work.
Patrick Riehl got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Shannon (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher.
