Lee Sponseller racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Champion City Kings. He homered in the first innings and singled in the eighth inning.

Cory Renois recorded his first win of the year for the Richmond RiverRats. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Daryn Lewis was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
