Both the Springfield Sliders (28-28) and the Danville Dans (29-28) put runners aboard on Monday, but it was the Springfield Sliders that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-3 win at Robin Roberts Field.

Brett Charbonneau racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Springfield Sliders. He singled in the third and fifth innings and tripled in the sixth innings.

Zack Gibson put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Danville Dans. He tripled in the first inning and doubled in the second inning.

Corey Pic improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Springfield Sliders. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered 11 hits.

Michael McCormick (4-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
