Matthew Priebe had two extra base hits, helping the Champion City Kings (23-32) to a 6-5 victory over the Butler BlueSox (30-26) on Sunday at Davidson Stadium.
He singled in the first inning, homered in the second inning, and doubled in the sixth inning.The Butler BlueSox had no answer for Daryn Lewis, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Butler BlueSox managed just one hit off of Lewis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Tyler Sullivan had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and second innings.
David Lemley kept the Champion City Kings off the board during his six innings of work. Lemley allowed eight hits, no walks and struck out three.
Corey Murphy got his third win for the Champion City Kings despite allowing five runs over five innings. Murphy struck out three, walked two and gave up seven hits.
