The Kokomo Jackrabbits (26-27) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Hannibal Cavemen (14-35) on Thursday.
The Hannibal Cavemen took the lead in the fifth inning on an error.
The Kokomo Jackrabbits couldn't get anything going so long as Connor Keating was on the hill. The Kokomo Jackrabbits managed just two hits off of the the Hannibal Cavemen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his four innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Kokomo Jackrabbits' Emilio Calderon dominated the Hannibal Cavemen's batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.
Calderon ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year.
