Kenny Hostrander went 2-3 as the Richmond RiverRats (16-30) took home a 6-5 victory over the Champion City Kings (19-27) at Davidson Stadium on Saturday.
He singled in the third and fourth innings.Bryce Pennington picked up the win for the Richmond RiverRats. Pennington allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.
John Goodrich racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Champion City Kings. He singled in the sixth inning.
Luke Dietz put together a nice outing. Dietz held the Richmond RiverRats hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out one.
Evan Korson couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Champion City Kings, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
