Despite the loss, the Hannibal Cavemen's Brennan Hehner dominated the Quincy Gems' batters, giving up one run and striking out six.

Tyler OShea improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Quincy Gems. OShea struck out one, walked two and gave up three hits.

Connor Keating ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
