Aiden McMahan went 4-4 at the plate, helping the Richmond RiverRats (13-20) to a 3-2 victory over the Champion City Kings (12-21) on Sunday at Davidson Stadium.
He singled in the second inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the fourth and eighth innings.Corey Murphy was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Richmond RiverRats batters and allowing three runs.
Joe Pourier got the win, running his season record to 2-4. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Pourier struck out three, walked three and gave up six hits.
Murphy was charged with his third loss of the year.
