Jarrett Bednar kept the Hannibal Cavemen (9-27) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Kokomo Jackrabbits (21-20) beat the Hannibal Cavemen, 4-1.

Bednar struck out seven and allowed no walks and five hits.

Mark Zimmerman had two extra-base hits for the Kokomo Jackrabbits. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Seth Soto had a hot bat for the Hannibal Cavemen. Soto went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second, seventh, and ninth innings.

Sam Cottingham-Beard (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

The Kokomo Jackrabbits were sparked by Zimmerman and Chris Folinusz, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
