Samuel Higgs kept the Quincy Gems (9-11) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Terre Haute Rex (16-4) beat the Quincy Gems, 2-0.

Higgs allowed seven hits, two walks and struck out seven.

Austin Piscotty was hot from the plate for the Quincy Gems. Piscotty went 3-4. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Kade Granier was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.
