The West Virginia Miners' lineup had no answer for Jon Laird. Laird gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Ben Hartz was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
