Dylan Rosa had two extra base hits as the Springfield Sliders (5-3) took home a 6-2 victory over the Danville Dans (5-3) at Danville Stadium on Thursday.

The Danville Dans had no answer for Connor Law, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Danville Dans managed just three hits off of Law, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Ryan Gaines pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out four.

Corey Pic improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Springfield Sliders. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Curtis Bafus (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Springfield Sliders were sparked by Rosa and Drew Curtis, who teamed up for seven hits and three RBIs.
