Taylor Schwaner collected three hits as the Quincy Gems (2-5) took home a 3-2 victory over the Terre Haute Rex (6-1) at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad on Wednesday.

The Terre Haute Rex couldn't get anything going so long as Jake Busiek was on the hill. The Terre Haute Rex managed just one hit off of the the Quincy Gems' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Elvin Ramos got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 3 1/3 innings. Ramos struck out three, walked two and gave up no hits.

Alex Holder (0-1) took the loss for the Terre Haute Rex. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
