Matt Hansen went 2-4, helping the Butler BlueSox (1-2) to a 4-3 victory over the Champion City Kings (2-1) on Friday at Kelly Auto Park.

The Champion City Kings had no answer for Eli Martin, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Martin held the Champion City Kings hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Ridge Winand racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Champion City Kings. He homered in the sixth inning.

Pete Munger pitched lights out for the Champion City Kings. Munger gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Jon Anderson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. Anderson struck out four, walked two and gave up three hits.

Evan DeCovich (0-1) took the loss for the Champion City Kings. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
