The Springfield Sliders (1-2) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-1 to the Terre Haute Rex (3-0) on Friday.

While the Springfield Sliders led until the seventh inning, the Terre Haute Rex worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Ricardo Ramirez.
