The Douglas (15-19) and the Skagit Valley (16-23) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Douglas that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Whalley Little League Park .

The Douglas relied on Jamie Whitehead to eat up innings en route to the win. Whitehead pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out five.

Trey Smith (2-4) took the loss for the Skagit Valley. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
