The Pierce (17-21) jumped out to an early lead on the Grays Harbor (3-32) and captured a 9-3 victory on Sunday at Mt Tahoma High School .

Five runs in the first three innings allowed the Pierce to put the game away early.

A three-run single by Carter Johnson, a double by Jacob Winn, , and a single by Gunnar Schubert in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Pierce.

Rayven Kahana racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Pierce. He homered in the third inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.

Micah Richardson improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pierce. He allowed two runs over 2 1/3 innings. Richardson struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Nathan Griffith ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
