The Pierce get 9 strikeouts from Fish, win 11-0 over the Centralia

Story by Narrative Science.

Matt Fish hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Fish pitched six shutout innings to carry the Pierce (9-12) to an 11-0 victory over the Centralia (3-13) at Mt Tahoma High School in seven innings.

Seven runs in the first three innings helped the Pierce blow out the Centralia. A hit by pitch, a sacrifice fly by Jarred Prather, and an error during the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Leo Valenti in the second inning fueled the Pierce's offense early.

Whit Gilligan racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Pierce. He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.

Ty Carlton (1-2) took the loss for the Centralia. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked none and struck out two.
